FOCC Aims:

  • To work collaboratively with the South Gippsland Shire Council (who have management rights), Museum Victoria (museum accreditation) and the Victorian State Government Departments (DELWP, Tourism) to secure the successful long-term management and operations of Coal Creek Historical Park.
  • To assist in formulating a management plan for the ongoing operation of the Historic Park that incorporates the requirements of all stakeholders – government, council, community.
  • To liaise with volunteer groups that wish to provide support to the activities within the park, providing a community voice to management as to the needs and of the park.
  • To assist and advocate the use of the park to the wider local community as well as becoming a feature destination for visitors to South Gippsland.
  • To raise funds for specific FOCC projects that enhance the use of the park and will assist with programs undertaken by the volunteers.
  • To support and assist in the maintenance of the historical artifacts that are part of the parks collection.
  • To preserve and secure the park for future generations.
